Hatch: If GOP Controlled Government, We Would ‘Get This Country Under Control’

Last night, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) delivered an hour-long speech on the Senate floor condemning the Democratic health care reform bill and accusing Democrats of displaying “the arrogance of power” in trying to pass health reform before the holiday recess. Hatch predicted that if Republicans had 60 votes and control of all three branches of government, they would “get this country under control”:

They had their shot, they betrayed every aspect of their "Contract with America" (which became their "Contract with Halliburton") they put this country in the mess it's in, with some help from the Dems, but they had the power and proceeded to turn the U.S. into the world's biggest (and most despised) JOKE.

  11. #11    #5, "some", I believe, is about correct. I think it was less "helping" them and more just "letting" them get away with everything they wanted to do. But if Dems tried to stand up to Rethugs they were the "obstructionists" getting pilloried on MSM, or "UNpatriotic in our post 9/11 world", among other things. We all know how you feel about "demofascists", what about what Hatch said, or the rest of my comment?
