Iran gained $5 billion on shift from U.S. dollar

one real reason Iran must be brought under the boot: "Since 2007, Iran has received 85 percent of its oil income in currencies other than the U.S. dollar, Iran's English-language Press TV reported on its web site."

  1. #1    People, there is no way to underestimate the importance of this. If oil is traded not in dollars, the US economy collapses worse than the great depression and the US global hegemony will collapse.

  2. #2    If you never again buzz my story, which most of you assholes don't anyway, buzz this one. THIS IS A TELLING STORY ABOUT WHY WE ARE GOING TO WAR. Remember, Iraq was guilty of the same 'crime'.

  3. #3    Bingo epppie. I see a joint israhell-US strike on Iran just around the corner and more global misery to come if the rest of the world doesn't follow Iran's example and stop using the dollar in any resource transaction. This is the only way to kill the Fourth Reich and its blind imperialism.

Unfortunately, our bought and paid for MSM and congress critters will not listen to reason and, once again its; Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to war we go...

  4. #4    I saw before in your other story, epppie. And I understand your point here which is well taken. It appears the US govt is getting ready, along with their friend, Israel, to do the same thing. My question, however, still remains how is China or Russia going to side with the US, when the benefit is to both, to see the US broken?

  5. #5    ok, epppie, I'm going to partially agree with your assessment. The issue of declining petrodollar reserves is more likely to be an excuse for war than the non-existent Iran nuclear threat.

From the oil lobby's perspective, Iran is guilty of all the same crimes that Saddam committed; denying American companies access to its oil reserves, selling oil in currency other than dollars, and not allowing US interests to decide to whom it can sell its oil.

What remains to be seen is if Obama is smart enough to regain influence in Iran without a war. I'm more hopeful than you are that Obama doesn't want another war, nor does Israel.

  6. #6    One more point, epppie. The source of this information is Iranian government-controlled PressTV. Don't underestimate the Iranian government's desire to pull Obama's chain. I know that Iran sells oil in other currencies; in fact Iran proposed an international commodities exchange that would deal in a basket of currencies. The accuracy of the data, and anything else that comes from this government-controlled medium, should be looked upon with the same eye that you read FOX News.

  7. #7    The U.S. war on Iraq War I as was Iraq II was over Saddam Hussein letting it be known that his country would accept other currencies for its oil. American too farking stupid to know what a "bourse" is cared not a wit when Iran said openly that it establish a bourse for oil purchases. The major news networks never explained it because their anchors were farking clueless too. Those that did know the meaning really got their knickers in a knot and put Iran on their hit list for blaming everything on that nation from baby rape to farking sun spots while the real baby raping, genocidal ethnic cleansing Zionist sociopaths were being aided and abetted by the U.S.

    Don't get the impressi...

  8. #8    Brits understand "bourse". Didn't make it across the pond, mate.

So when does the mostly-ineffective, "hearts and minds losing," gazillion-billion costing bombing begin? Or to put it another way, are there enough Mexicans we can promise citizenship to if they join the infantry? We're already occupying two countries half-ass. How can we half-ass occupy a third without a draft?

I swear Obama's getting whiter every day. I'm waiting for a photo of him holding their dog up by its ears.

  10. #10    The US is broken, has been for years. Look on your wall map and you will see that the US has NOTHING more to offer anymore...except cheap labour, a cheap dollar, and huge debt and credit at a reasonable rate. There's nothing to save or protect anymore that has value, because it's all for sale. Perhaps it's time to let the "terrorist" we are killing all over the world to take over our failed government to teach us how to farm again and to live within our means.

  11. #11    Simply stated, we need to build an new nation. We need to purge all the bastards that brought us to this point and tell them that we have had enough. Time to lock and load and kick some really serious progressive ass.
