Understanding Sarah Palin's Theology

I had an opportunity to discuss this article with the author. The importance of this information can’t be overstated. The end time theology has evolved, from one in which born again Christians will be snatched from the Earth in the Rapture, to one in which they must take control or dominion over the Earth before the Christian Millennium can be begin. This may be the most important driving force behind the radical changes in conservative politics that we have seen in this country. An end times theology that teaches that born again Christians will escape the imminent horrors of the Apocalypse does not encourage its believers to run for president. The growing movement of Apostles and Prophets, which is emerging as leadership in the Religious Right, has adopted a theology that requires its adherents to battle evil and expel demons in order to take Christian dominion over the earth. They believe in the total merger of church and state.

Is six of the eleven symptoms enough to say a country has caught it or not? Seven? Eight? How strongly does each of them have to manifest? There isn't really a defining creed like the Communist Manifesto for communism, so it's an indistinct judgment call based on how a country acts.

But people often mistake fascism and Nazis. They think a country can't have a fascist economic system unless it has death camps and a crazy leader like Hitler. Thom Hartmann has it right when he says that the Third Reich was a national cult. If ...

  5. #5    Fascism always has a religious element to it. Nothing sells like religion-hyped fear mongering. Check out Rackjite's video of interviews of people at the Airhead's book signing; "Don't you know that we Christians are being persecuted by the government and the main stream media?...." The Nazis used the same tactics to spread the same fears.
