Insurance price-fixing - TheHill.com

If any senator threatens to kill the healthcare bill unless the public option is removed, whatever that senator was given for voting to consider the healthcare bill should be removed from the bill. Meanwhile, the proposal to repeal the antitrust exemption for the insurance industry, with strong Democratic and some Republican support, should be passed as separate legislation.

  1. #1    Competition in the health insurance business is a joke. It doesn't matter which one you choose, you pay the same exorbitant premiums for the right to fight for every claim. It's all crap.

It's a sad statement on the state of our political system that single payer is off the table. Reality bites.

  2. #2    Dimofascist and Rethuglican terrorists can delay Single Payer - at a cost of 45,000 American lives each year - but they cannot stop Single Payer.

Obama-care's trillion dollar tax on working poor Americans is not a solution.

Repealing the antitrust exemption is a good first step, but the real solution is Single Payer.
