The Oil Situation Is Really Bad

On the eve of the International Energy Agency’s release of its annual World Energy Outlook (WEO), a whistleblower at the IEA claims the agency “has been deliberately underplaying a looming [oil] shortage for fear of triggering panic buying” in the world markets.

  3. #3    There are two real arrogant assholes in my town who are traders at the NYMEX. They are practically walking around in a constant state of orgiastic bliss thinking of the money they are going to make gaming the system. While the rest of us suffer through high gas prices and astronomical home heating bills, these guys are looking at the boats they are going to buy at reduced prices for next summer.

    People like them should be hung by their thumbs. This is naked capitalism at its most blatant - kids are starving in this country, people are losing their homes and their pensions while assholes like this enrich themselves at our expense.
