Why are Young Conservatives Embarrassed by the GOP?

I suppose sane Republicans can be embarrassed by the right wing extremists who seem to have control over the Republican Party, whether young or old. It isn’t just the racism, alarmist lies and sexism, but also the behaviors of members of the RNC, one of whom has been arrested for sexual harrassment.

    DEMOCRATS should be working FOR a Palin/Joe ticket! It could mean the end of the GOP as we have grown to loathe it!

    My father who immigrated here at the age of 9 with his older brother, 11 and made their way quite well I might happily say and both lived well into their nineties had one saying that he constantly reminded us about. Forgive the spelling, the statement was "Mango fati verogna". Translated that statement said don't make me ashamed of you. Honor our name. Till this day we have never dishonored it. My mother a few weeks before dying told all 6 of us (there used to be 7) "The one thing my father was very proud of was that my parents kept several thousand dollars hidden where each of us knew where it was located, to be used if we had a desparate need of it. Not a one of us ever had to use it. My hope is that I and my brothers and sisters have done as good a job as my illiterate parents did.
