Why Progressives Should Back a Filibuster of the Health Care Bill

All of the Congressional Democrats and even the successor to George Bush himself recognize that universal single-payer health care (Medicare For All) is the only meaningful solution to the health care crisis in America. But these Democrats have decided that keeping their jobs is much more important than saving the lives of 45,000 Americans. By passing this most cynical piece of legislation they have put their thumbs in the eyes of the American people while the silk tongued oratory of the successor to George Bush will praise this bill even as he delights in the idea of how many people will live in misery.

  1. #1    My only criticism of this excellent article is the word "bailout". The health mafia is already rolling in money. Premiums and profits have been rising fast and will skyrocket with Individual Mandate.

    No, Obama-care is not a bailout. It is a trillion dollar payback for hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign bribes. It's a trillion dollars stolen from working and retired Americans and given to those who have more money than they can ever hope to spend.

    Why? Not because the health mafia is important. The health mafia bleeds the economy while producing nothing at all of value.

    The whole stinking stealing anti-choice pile of corruption that is Obama-care exists for one reason only: because campaign bribes are more important than voters' lives.
