Jesse Ventura: Democrats & Republicans Should Wear Nascar Racing Suits So We Can See Who Owns Them

L. KING: You seem to look back, and look at both of these parties with askance look. VENTURA: To me, Larry -- and I have said it before, and I know I'll get a laugh out of this. But I wish they would pass a law where all Democrats and Republicans had to wear Nascar racing suits, because if you look at the Nascar drivers, it tells who their sponsors are. And if they do that, we could then become informed voters, because we would know who owns them.

  5. #5    More wisdom from Jesse "The Butthead" Ventura! Big tough guy couldn't even handle one term as Governor of Minnesota. Held meetings with his boots up on the table, chewing tobacco and spitting into a cup. Accomplished nothing. Spent sizable chunk of time appearing at sporting events and making the talk show rounds, including "Meet the Press" where he was cheering on the Clinton impeachment and making speeches on "values". (Russert loved him for that!) Then whines about his treatment from the press. Put your plumes back on, Jesse, and go back on the wrestling circuit where you'll be taken more seriously.

Oh, and "mercman" (#4) -- What do you mean, "we"?

  6. #6    No seriously! By the looks of your comments... I really only meant you..... jackass.

From September 11, 1969 to September 10, 1975, during the Vietnam War, James George Janos AKA "Jesse Ventura" served in the United States Navy. While on active duty, Ventura was a Navy SeAL and part of Underwater Demolition Team 12. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. And you my lil friend? Still bein spoon fed and soilin yer panties are ya?

After a trade mission to China in 2002, he announced that he would not run for a second term as Governor. He accused the media of hounding him and his family for personal behavior and belief while neglecting coverage of important policy issues. Ventura later told a reporter for The Boston Globe that he would have run for a second term if he had been single, citing the media's effect on his family life. He saw the "circus" for what it was.... You still believe you have a choice!

    LMAO!

  7. #7    Mercman,

I'm so sorry for misunderstanding you! You were describing YOURSELF as "beer-drinking trailer-trash" - that fits. And that quick wit, coming up with responses like "jackass"! Must have been a word you learned before you flunked out of primary school. What barstool were you stuck to during Vietnam?

Wow, you take criticism of your heartthrob pretty hard! You must kiss his picture every night before Mama Merc tucks you in. Yes, I knew that "James George Janos AKA Jesse Ventura" was a Navy SEAL, a noble and courageous group. He deserves praise for that part of his life.

But he was still a mediocre Governor, and I know people in Minnesota who agr...
