Pelosi Arrested Us for Asking for Healthcare by Dan Hodges, Chair, Health Care for All-California

Around 3PM this afternoon I was one of 12 single payer activists who were escorted from the reception area of Nancy Pelosi's office in the San Francisco Federal Building and arrested by members of the Federal Protection Service of U.S. Homeland Security. Just before noon we went to Pelosi's office to ask Dan Bernal, the district director, make a phone call either to Pelosi herself or Terri McCullough, Pelosi's chief of staff in Washington. We wanted to directly communicate two demands: that the Kucinich amendment be included in the health care bill that will soon be brought to a vote in the House and that the Weiner amendment be voted on by the House, as previously promised by Pelosi.

  1. #1    Americans crave royalty. They treat public employees (hello! yes, they're OUR EMPLOYEES, not fscking royalties!!!) like blue-bloods. Nope, they're not blue bloods. They're blue DOGS, comrades.

We the sheeple EMBOLDEN them. We allowed them to treat us as if we were dumb peasants (most of us ARE). They are supposed to fear us and respect us, folks!

We got what we deserved, what we richly earned over the years. If this does not change, if they are not put in their proper place, pretty soon we will have nothing to say at all. They will elect and re-elect themselves with no interference from the masses. They will rule and fill their coffers with loot, and the sheeple will pay. If the sheeple cannot pay, the sheeple will be thrown into indentured servitude, or will end up in debtors' prisons.

Pelosi has to go. While we still can.

    Or can we...?

  2. #2    These people in Washington just don't get it...from the President, to the Speaker, to Congress...all were "elected" for a short term. NOT annointed. Not Christened. Not by birthrite. In fact, considering the corruption that exists in this false 2-party paradigm, I'd almost bet that they feel they've "bought" their way into their position and they damn well will do as they please and they are the self-appointed royalty that rules over the serfdom that is America.
