Reid changes tune on passing health care before 2010

US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid seems to have picked a strange day to hint that the all-important health care bill might be delayed. The bad news for Democrats comes on election day, as Republicans bank on potentially winning three key races in Virginia, New Jersey and New York. Meanwhile, the pushback will undoubtedly have an effect on the 2010 elections.

  1. #1    fucking assholes.

I read this as putting a gun to our heads: better vote for democrats in 2010 or the big bad republicans'll get ya.

Putting a gun to our heads Harry?

  3. #3    Not all bad.

The closer to an upcoming election, the more likely a bill is to reflect the will of the electorate rather than the bribes of the corporates.

  4. #4    I'm beginning to think that the process is altered from being one of whittling down the advances sought by the public to one advancing benefits sought by the insurance companies.

The results in VA, NJ, and NY may well prove to be the beginning of the resurgence of the GOP that Obama has not lifted a finger to prevent. If he truly believed in health care reform like he claimed during the early days of the contest, he would be doing things like showing Blanche Lincoln her sagging polling numbers much earlier than today. But his actions speak loudly, and he dumped the responsibility for passing some kind of a health care bill onto Harry Reid, who isn't up to anything beneficial to the American people.

I hope you like retirement, Harry. Just remember what the plan will be if this reading of mine is accurate: Don't get sick, but if you do, DIE QUICK!
