George W. Bush set to become motivational speaker - Times Online

He left office with the US embroiled in two wars, a Great Recession and with his approval rating a toxic 22 per cent. So the next stage in his career is obvious. George W Bush — who last year inspired millions of people to vote Democrat — is about to become a highly-paid motivational speaker. [Note: You know. You just cannot make this stuff up!]

  1. #1    And if you thought is was satire enough that a war criminal is a "motivational speaker, then look at the topic he is expected to speak on:

The Forth Worth event, in Mr Bush’s home state of Texas, will also feature Colin Powell, the former Secretary of State, Rudy Giuliani, the former New York Mayor, and Rick Belluzzo, a former Microsoft executive.

The Get Motivated programme has been a huge business success, but the appearance of Mr Bush at a seminar about, among other things, “How to Master the Art of Effective Leadership” has produced guffaws.

[Note: I thought Powell had gained some religion, but I guess the Bushies have blessed him back into the fold. Or maybe, he never left.]

  2. #2    I can't imagine anyone paying that moron to appear at a seminar, unless they couldn't find a busboy. Please, tell me this is a joke.

  3. #3    Aww, I dunno, he's living proof that you can be an incompetent, incoherent idiot and dry drunk, and still get to be President of the United States.

  4. #4    He inspires me to emigrate to Canada. And I don't believe for a second he was a dry drunk. No one 'falls off their bicycle' that much.

  5. #5    what??? He's dry? Nah. Just another fallacy. Wouldn't you drink if you were trapped in an administration with Cheney, Rummie, wolfo, et all?

  6. #6    and I'm not sure it was a bicycle. More like a tricycle. Ohhhh or a Big Wheel.

*note to self....photoshop Bush on a Big Wheel w/ Cheney chasing on a tricycle*

  7. #7    I'm sure he can pull it off. Most "motivational speakers" are just parasites on society who make their money off suckers in exchange for a glorified pep-talk.
It actually makes me feel sorry for him. Couldn't he find something respectable to do--like play piano in a whore house?

That only works if you're born into big money and power. If the moron had not been born into the Bush family, he'd be flipping burgers at a fast food joint in West Texas.

  10. #10    Hey, folks, he always motivated me!

    I was motivated to:
    * continually called him the current (now PREVIOUS, thank the Lord!) corrupt, criminal pResident rather than call him by name!
    * get out in the streets and protest his immoral, criminal, warmongering, corporate-whoring ways!
    * spend time supporting those in positions of influence to oppose him at EVERY turn!
    * spend time thanking God that the lying little louse is gone and a problem for the private sector, much of which royally deserves having him as an albatross around their necks!

What a motivational idol he is for the idle rich, the NeoCon perverts/adulterers, and the criminal enterprise of which he was a part.

  11. #11    Politics aside, the man bankrupted his own business and had to be bailed out by his father's friends. Then he precipitated one of the worst economic crises this country has seen, easily the worst in 80 years. Who could possibly find motivation from him?

  13. #13    Bush has ALWAYS MOTIVATED me to 1) get his sorry ass impeached! 2) work to get his sorry ass indicted for CAPITAL CRIMES in the US; 3) Get his sorry ass in the dock for war crimes; 4) get his sorry ass out of our faces for good!
