5. #5    God, I hope that includes my wife's identity thief. About every 14 months for the last five years my 64-year-old wife has been dunned by phone by the student loan collections department on behalf someone, I guess of the same name, using our address. Their web site offers a convenient way for loan holders to change their address themselves so I assume when we get it straightened out that we aren't their student, the student just changes the address back to us on the web site and the dumb bastard of a bureaucracy has no way of flagging the troublemakers. So my advice for loan forgiveness is apparently just to find someone else with your name in the phone book and change your address yourself to that person.
